Chinese Bridge Competition Held Successfully by CIUZ
2026年6月5日,津巴布韦大学孔子学院成功举办了2026“汉语桥”中文大赛津巴布韦赛区决赛。本次比赛不仅是一场语言能力的较量,更是一场中津文化交流的盛会,吸引了来自全国各地的中文学习爱好者、教育工作者、政府官员、外交使节及在津中资企业代表等300余人到场观摩。
Professor Hodson Makurira, Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University of Zimbabwe, delivered the opening address on behalf of the university. He noted that language is the key to understanding and friendship, and that the growing popularity of Chinese in Zimbabwe is opening new doors of opportunity for the younger generation of both countries. His Excellency Zhou Ding, Chinese Ambassador to Zimbabwe, attended as a distinguished guest and delivered an enthusiastic speech. Ambassador Zhou stated that the Chinese Bridge is not only a language bridge but also a bridge of hearts and cooperation. He encouraged more Zimbabwean youth to learn Chinese and become inheritors and builders of China-Africa friendship.
津巴布韦大学副校长霍德森·马库里拉教授(Prof Hodson Makurira)代表校方致开幕辞。他指出,语言是理解与友谊的钥匙,中文在津巴布韦的日益普及,正为两国青年一代打开新的机遇之门。中华人民共和国驻津巴布韦大使周鼎阁下作为重要嘉宾出席并发表热情洋溢的讲话。周鼎大使表示,“汉语桥”不仅是语言之桥,更是心灵之桥、合作之桥。他鼓励更多津巴布韦青年学习中文,做中非友好的传承者与建设者。
The competition attracted outstanding contestants from primary schools, secondary schools, and universities across the country. It consisted of three segments: a knowledge quiz, a prepared speech, and a talent show. Focusing on themes such as "One World, One Family," contestants expressed their understanding and love for Chinese culture in fluent Chinese, fully demonstrating their language skills and cross-cultural competence. Judges evaluated contestants based on language ability, presentation skills, cultural knowledge, and creativity. The atmosphere was lively, and the contestants delivered impressive performances, showcasing Zimbabwean students’ growing enthusiasm for Chinese learning and solid language foundations.
本次比赛吸引了来自全国各个小学、中学和大学的优秀选手参加,比赛分为知识竞赛、主题演讲和才艺展示三个环节。选手们围绕“天下一家”等主题,用流利的中文表达了自己对中国文化的理解与热爱,充分展现了他们的中文水平和跨文化能力。评委根据语言能力、表达技巧、文化知识与创造力对选手进行综合评分。比赛现场气氛热烈,选手们表现出色,展现出津巴布韦学生日益增长的中文学习热情和扎实的语言功底。
The first prize winners in each category are as follows: The primary school first prize went to Matipa Dzenga from Cornerstone Junior Private School, who won the judges’ favour with her outstanding calligraphy display and Chinese character reading. The secondary school first prize went to Onias Mukanyangi from High Achievers Educational Centre, who amazed the audience with his fluent narration of the historical and cultural significance of Chinese mountains and famous figures. The tertiary institution's first prize went to Charisa Mawondo from the University of Zimbabwe, whose monologue of an international student abroad was so authentic and moving that it resonated deeply with many.
各组一等奖获奖者如下:小学组一等奖得主是来自基石私立学校(Cornerstone Junior Private School)的马蒂帕·津加(Matipa Dzenga),她凭借出色的书法展示和汉字朗读赢得了评委的青睐;中学组一等奖得主是来自高成就教育中心(High Achievers Educational Centre)的奥尼亚斯·穆坎扬吉(Onias Mukanyangi),他流利地讲述了中国山脉与名人的历史与文化意义,令观众赞叹不已;大学组一等奖得主是津巴布韦大学(University of Zimbabwe)的查理萨·马旺多(Charisa Mawondo),她表演的留学生独白真实可感,引发了许多人的共鸣。
The successful hosting of this event underscores the University of Zimbabwe's firm commitment to promoting international cooperation, language education, and cultural exchange. Participants expressed that the competition provides a valuable platform for young Chinese learners to showcase their talents and learn from one another, further deepening the people-to-people connections between Zimbabwe and China. As educational and cultural cooperation between China and Africa continues to deepen, flagship events like the Chinese Bridge Competition will play an increasingly important role in fostering mutual understanding and friendship.
